Bloom’s Taxonomy

Bloom’s taxonomy is a popular learning principle applied by generations of K-12 teachers and college instructors in their teaching. It is a model that describes the cognitive processes of learning and developing mastery of a subject. The principle aids in developing tests and assessments. It consists of 6 skills forming a hierarchy that reflects increasing complexity and ability to solve HOTS. Knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation are the six skills of Bloom’s taxonomy.
